To admit this as a writer is rather embarrassing but I am almost at a loss with words to describe this event. Not only were there numerous trade tables but an excellent group of presenters ranging from YA to poetry to sci-fi. Each workshop was well received and full of helpful information – this I could see from the frantic scribbling going on!
Everyone shared their writing life, hopes and aspirations in an atmosphere of camaraderie. The one-on-one sessions were enlightening and encouraging to all who attended them. Writers connected with each other finding friendship and a deeper bond in some cases.
My experience of the writing life is anything but lonely – I thank my lucky stars I found the Writers Foundation of Strathcona County. Take a peek – virtual members are as welcome as local ones. http://www.wfscserwoodpark.com

It was a wondrous time – loved the hype and frenzy of the day with words and friends and everything all write.
