Irrefutable – definition: that cannot be denied, refuted, or disproved
Some interesting irrefutable scientific facts:
1. It takes 8 minutes 17 seconds for light to travel from the Sun’s surface to the Earth.

22. The largest meteorite craters in the world are in Sudbury, Ontario, canada and in Vredefort, South Africa.
23. A dog’s sense of smell is 1,000 times more sensitive than a humans.
24. The mortality rate if bitten by a Black Mamba snake is over 95%.

I think #7 is my favorite. How cool would that be?? I have used scientific facts, #23 actually, in one of my stories. 🙂

(Of course, the spirit of science is that a law only remains valid as long is it continues to be confirmed by experiment. So we must inherently be open-minded that any law, no matter how often it has been confirmed, is not completely irrefutable. Not all scientists think this way, but it is the scientific method. Probably, creative thinkers who challenge tradition have made many of the most remarkable breakthroughs.)
