As many of you know I have been intrigued with reincarnation for decades (there are several other blog posts about it on here - just search them) and one of my favourite books is Ferney by James Long. It captivates me every time I re-read it. The characters, the setting, and their story is so well implanted in my brain that I can visualize exactly where they are. It's like walking through your home town, or in my case village. For me Ferney and Gally are old friends and I want to visit them periodically.
Since first reading Ferney, I have searched out other books with the same theme and some have been excellent, while others left me wanting. In fact, I wrote The Twesome Loop as my own reincarnation love story - that is how much this phenomenon grips me.

So you can understand my delight when I found a copy of The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson in a thrift store! From the first few sentences I knew I was going to love the story of Marianne Engel and the Burned Man. It is relayed in two time periods (just like my Twesome narrative) the author reveals their link through time. Although, I am only a few chapters in, I know this book will remain on my 'keep' shelf and I will return to it time an again.

Do you have a book, or books that you re-read?
Are there certain themes in books you gravitate to?
