We are at that time of the year again, when gift buying becomes essential. For anyone who reads there are plenty of choices, apart from a new book. We can find a multitude of book themed, or favourite character themed items and reading assessories available in stores and online to ensure your bibliophile relative, or friend is overjoyed at their gift.

Here are some examples.

Cozy socks and blankets – being comfortable and warm adds to our reading joy.

Mugs, or glasses – we all need to sip as we read, after all.

Themed bookmarks – gone are the scraps of paper, or other miscellenous item!

Book ornaments – for the Xmas tree or shelving.

A book stand – for ease of reading.

Book, or electronic reader bags, or sleeves.

Cushions – some have quotations, or images related to books and characters.

Candles – scented in an array of book, library, or character aromas.

A page holder.

Vases – some are book shaped while others have specific book covers.

Bookends – these can be genre specific, or book specific.

Of course, there are many other items that can be bibliophile related. So go and find that special gift that you know will delight the reader in your life. And if you can please shop locally.

You could even treat yourself – just saying.

What is on your book wish list for Christmas?
