In celebration of Read in the Bathtub Day on the 9th February, let's take a look at the apparatus available to make soaking in the tub reading happen! Whether it is a paper or hard back book, or an electronic device, there are a multitude of trays in many different aesthetics to meet your decor and needs.

You may have noticed that there seems to be another common element present for this particular pursuit - the accompanying glass of wine!

TIPS ON HOW TO READ IN THE BATH

Use a bath pillow to keep your head at a comfortable angle.

Hold the book correctly with the base between your thumb and pinky finger. Cradle the book in one hand, with 3 fingers supporting the base of the spine and your thumb and pinky splaying the pages apart. You can also get a page holder.
Get a waterproof case for a digital/electronic device in order to protect it from accidental splashes or immersion into the water! Even a putting it in a sealable bag such as a sandwich bag gives the device protection.

An easier option is to listen to an audio recording of a novel/e-book.

Ensure the book holder is adjusted to secure the book properly.

Keep a dry towel handy for any water mishaps or accidental splashes.
