This week we celebrate National Biographer’s Day on the 16th. Many of us wonder if we could write our biography, or memoir. It seems such a daunting task, however a review of our lives for the sake of our family and future generations is something that is worth considering. Imagine future descendants finding your story – a slice of history from a personal perspective.
I am currently helping a woman revise and translate her life story, which is a fascinating glimpse into life in China in the 1940’s and her subsequent immigration to Canada. It is a personal testament to real life history and experience, rather than the propaganda governmental version, it is an important story. However, the book will only be for her family to read.
Would you write a biography, or memoir? Have you thought of a title?
