BIBLIOPHILE’S COLLECTIVE TUESDAY – A CHRISTMAS POEM

Home » Blog » BIBLIOPHILE’S COLLECTIVE TUESDAY – A CHRISTMAS POEM

I'm sharing a poem today. As many of you know poetry is not my strong point, but occassionally I do like to try. I hope you like it.

CHRISTMAS FAIRY

Snowflakes drift slowly downward

Sunlight shining through their intricate patterns

Layer upon layer, centimeter by centimeter

Gathering together to cover the world

A blanket of whiteness so pure

A movement, a flicker beside my eye

The delicate whisper of wings passing by

A tiny glittering, sparkling shape

The Christmas Fairy gently laughing

A tinkling sound so light

She flits back and forth between the flakes

Fluttering her eyelashes, she can make

Their pointed star shape rotate

As the snow flakes dance in the air again

This is her element. This is her time.
