Firstly I want to wish you all a happy, healthy and fun filled 2011.
With a few days to relax I have been reading up on several favorite blogs and web sites. I have noticed a common thread – instead of making resolutions there are intentions. This is a much more subtle (and possibly more enjoyable way) to look forward into the New Year. It gives us more room to ‘maneuver’ and ‘alter’ the expectations we place upon ourselves.
So I will be brave and state my intentions for 2011 – I intend to have at least one book published (or at least in the final stages). You see – now I will not have to beat myself up on 31st December 2011 if the launch is delayed.
What are your intentions for 2011?

My intention is to get Mandy to finish the novel by year end not just a significant part of it … 🙂
My own “intents” are a long list, as I always proclaim too much for myself, not only at New Year’s, but all year long. I guess that’s my way of always having some accomplishment …
I guess it is normal for us to all have different goals – I feel satisfied if I manage to write a little each day. I am driven to write my story of Africa and my side of living in Apartheid. I think about it all the time but am not too sure where to start – I am slowly getting it all onto the ‘screen’ and will put the puzzle together hopefully in the next year or two. I will certainly spend more time on bloggs like this, that inspires me to write more and to write my heart out in my own writing voice!
I believe that your story will be told – little steps forward will get you there when you need to be there. What is your blog?
