In the reasonably short time I have been a writer I have found something amazing. For each connection I make to other writers; be they full or part-time, published or un-published; each has been generous in sharing. From the simplest tip to numerous emails full of support and encouragement, the connection expands our writing community. I truly believe ‘paying it forward’ brings so much more than just another add on face book, twitter,
Google+ and all the other social media sites. A fresh viewpoint, a suggestion or just encouragement when you are blocked – makes all the difference. Reach out to others be generous in your help, we can learn from each other to make another’s writing and our own better.
We may write in solitude but we certainly don’t have to be solitary.

Mandy I could not agree more! You nailed it. I love getting all feedback but I find that other writers are not afraid to give good sound feedback that is helpful vs. hurtful (not yet anyway!!)
