NaNoWriMo Quandary…

October 15, 2013

Quandary – definition: a state of confusion, perplexity, or uncertainty, especially as to what to do : dilemma

Many of us are in a quandary over whether to participate in National Novel Writing Month this year or not. It may be a first dip into these frantic 30 days of writing or it is a known entity. Either way, we must consider how we will manage to write at least 1667 words a day. Time management is paramount in finishing NaNoWriMo – a lapse in creating the required amount of words for a day results in even more panic as we are then on catch up mode.

How do you plan?

Are there meals in the freeze ready for the family? Have you plastered your writing space with ‘do not disturb’ signs? Have you registered for local NaNo meet ups? How much plotting and planning have you done?

Whatever your preparations, I wish you luck and please feel free to contact with me as a buddy – MandyB, Edmonton.

Here are some other NaNoWriMo links:

  2. this will be my second year with NaNo (I did win). I’m excited. I’ve already told everyone that I will have limited time for them. I have a lock on my office door. ha! Only me and my dog Sam are allowed in next month. Other then that , no planning. Might be some snarling next month, but no planning. 🙂

  3. I love the word “quandary!” It’s so beautiful somehow. I’m leaning toward participating in nano, but I’m not 100% sure since I’ve got so much on my plate right now. Are you going to be participating this year? Thanks for sharing these links!

    • My pleasure to share other writers links – it helps us all connect.
Yes I am participating – this will be my fourth plunge into NaNo madness and I will be writing a new genre for me – cowboy romance – so double the trouble!
Good luck if you join up.
