Today is High Five a Librarian Day - yes every day seems to have some sort of celebration - right? Anyway, librarian's and libraries are worth celebrating at all times. I am lucky to have the most incredible local library, where I host my monthly writers circle and the local author shelves contain all my books. I meet friends and client's in the library cafe and used to write there when home was too busy and noisy.

Many people don't realize that library are not just books! There is such a wealth of, book collections, of course, but also magazines, DVD's, special programs and events. My library hosts a Writer in Residence each year, has a book festival with local authors and, of course, I take advantage of the book sales! There is even a bookmobile for the rural areas. It truly is a community hub with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
